Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 20, 2026
Welcome to MyBudgetCompass.com ("Budget Compass," "the Website," "the Service," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our web-based personal money management and budgeting platform.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
Budget Compass is a web-based personal financial management tool designed to help users organize financial information, track income and expenses, create budgets, categorize transactions, prepare financial reports, review spending patterns, and work toward personal financial goals.
Budget Compass does not require users to provide online banking usernames, banking passwords, PINs, or other login credentials for financial institutions.
Users may manually enter financial information or upload supported transaction files, such as bank, credit-card, or payment-service transaction files.
2. Account Plans
Budget Compass may offer both free and paid account plans.
The Free Plan may limit the number of financial accounts or features available to a user. Paid plans may provide additional accounts, reports, tools, or other enhanced features.
Features, pricing, and account limits may change as the Service develops. Current plan information will be displayed on the Website.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Budget Compass.
4. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login information and password.
You agree to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization or if you become aware of another security problem involving your account.
Security concerns may be reported to support@mybudgetcompass.com .
5. Financial Information and Transaction Imports
Budget Compass allows users to enter or upload financial information for personal organization and analysis.
You are responsible for reviewing imported transactions and confirming that transaction amounts, dates, categories, account labels, tax classifications, and other information are accurate.
Budget Compass does not guarantee that imported data will always be interpreted, categorized, or displayed without error.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Some Budget Compass features may require a paid subscription. Available subscription terms and prices will be displayed before purchase.
Depending on the plan selected, subscriptions may be billed monthly or annually and may automatically renew until cancelled.
Payments for paid Budget Compass plans are processed through PayPal, an independent third-party payment processor.
Budget Compass does not store your complete credit-card number, debit-card number, card security code, or PayPal account password on its servers.
PayPal may provide Budget Compass with limited transaction information necessary to confirm payment, manage your subscription, provide customer support, or maintain payment records.
Instructions for cancelling a paid subscription will be provided through the Website or by contacting support@mybudgetcompass.com .
7. Refund Policy
Because Budget Compass is a digital service and offers access to free features, payments for paid plans are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
If you believe you were billed incorrectly or experienced a technical billing problem, please contact us within fourteen (14) days of the charge. We will review the circumstances and determine whether a refund or account adjustment is appropriate.
8. Your Data
You retain ownership of the personal financial information and other content that you enter or upload to Budget Compass.
We process and store that information only as necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, subject to our Privacy Policy.
9. No Financial, Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice
Budget Compass is an informational and organizational tool.
The Service does not provide professional financial planning, investment, accounting, tax, credit, insurance, or legal advice. Information generated by Budget Compass should not be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
You are responsible for decisions made using information displayed or generated by the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Budget Compass and its owners shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of or inability to use the Service.
This includes financial losses resulting from inaccurate data, user-entered information, transaction classifications, reports, interruptions, or decisions made based upon information displayed by the Service.
